Excelsior Chess’ overarching vision is to use the game of chess and service to others to bring about the transformation of the hearts and minds of its players, and thereafter the community in which they live and work.  The human mind is a beautiful thing, and out of the mental disciplines developed through the game of chess, our players will acquire and hone the skills they will need to live and work smarter.  The human soul is more beautiful still, and as our players selflessly reach out in love and compassion in service to others, their hearts will grow, laying the pathway to a life that is not only better, but nobler.
